Happy New School Year!
As a Specialist School for Music and ICT we are able to provide our pupils with access to a wide range of up to date instruments and equipment which enable them to develop and improve their skills. Please encourage your child to make the most of these opportunities.
During the holidays we have had the Year 6 classroom refurbished so that it is a creative and pleasant learning environment which is equipped with a widescreen interactive whiteboard and individual laptop computers for each child. We hope to be able to use this as a model to refurbish our other class bases in the future.
We are pleased to welcome Mrs Newies and Miss Bannister to our staff team. Mrs Newies will be teaching French throughout the school, replacing Mr Scott who left at the end of last term, whilst Miss Bannister will be a classroom assistant in Year 5.
Finally if you would like to be more involved in school life either by supporting teachers in a particular area of the curriculum or by helping with extra curricular activities then please let us know.
