As part of the Hexham Book Festival, Alnwick Gardens held an event entitled, ”Murderous Maths”.
Year 5 experienced an amazing presentation by Kjartan Poskitt who is the author of the Murderous Maths books. He performed a variety of features including tricks, codes, flexagons, magic numbers, strange number facts and amazing number predictions. There was plenty of audience participation. His brilliant stand-up maths routine had the children and teachers in fits of laughter.
Maths has never been so much fun.

On the 29th April 2010 eight children from years 7 and 8 took part in the Junior Maths Challenge 2010 organised by the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust.
