| Join Us! Pupils at Seahouses Middle School can take part in many extra-curricular activities during the school day. Many of these clubs happen at lunchtime although some take place after school. Dance (for years 5, 6&7) and Young Journalists’ club (for year 7&8) are on a Monday lunchtime. Because we are coming up to our pantomime we are also having a practice for the cast after school on a Monday until 6pm. On a Tuesday lunchtime we have Growing club (year 5), Homework club which is open to any year group, Indoor Athletics (again for years 5&6) and, finally, Band. I am in the school band and I really like it because when we all play music together it sounds great. Also, we get to play at places and events out of school, such as Bamburgh Fair and Bamburgh Agricultural and Flower Show. After school on a Tuesday there is U13 Football training (for years 7&8). James in year 7 says "I like football because when you score, it’s cool!" Film Club is on a Wednesday lunchtime |
for year 7&8 and is run by Mrs Donaldson and Mrs Convery. Emily who goes to Film Club says "I like going to film Club because the movies are good to watch and at the moment we are watching Alice in Wonderland." Also on a Wednesday lunchtime there is Maths Masters for year 5&6 to help them with extra maths for the SATS tests next year. After school on a Wednesday there is U13 Netball with Rachel Convery for years 6, 7 & 8. I also go to the Netball club after school. Many people enjoy going to Benchball on a Thursday lunchtime (for years 5,6 &7) and Homework Club is on for any year groups. After school there is Archery Club which is run by Sam Garnham who comes in and takes it. Again an extra practice for the pantomime singers with Mrs Adamson. It is for any girls in the cast on a Friday lunchtime and also there is U11 football ( for years 5&6) which is run by 2 Young Sports Leaders from year 8. After school there is another practice for the panto cast but also there is a practice for the panto band in the music room, again until 6pm. |
