Activity Days

During the last week of the Summer term we are having three activity days on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 17th – 19th July. These are days when the children are off timetable doing an activity they have chosen from those on offer eg. sport, cookery, horse riding, music or art. They provide an excellent opportunity for children from different year groups to work together doing an activity they enjoy.

Many schools report that they see a downturn in pupil’s attitudes towards the end of the school year and they find it difficult to keep the children motivated. Our Activity days ensure that most children are doing an activity they have chosen so motivation stays high right up to the end of term. You will receive a booklet outlining what is on offer before the Whit holidays so you can help your child choose an appropriate activity.

Fun with cookery

Learn to cook a range of exciting but simple foods, sweet and savoury. Prepare a summer picnic to eat on the beach on the last day (weather permitting!). Pupils will be expected to supply their own ingredients as well as some cookery equipment. There is therefore no charge for this activity.
